Loulou Williams
Loulou lives and works in the picturesque haven that is North Norfolk. She has a deep love of the countryside and a passion for coastal living. Above all else, her family are the inspiration behind her artistic
endeavours. Mummy to Son Seth and Daughter Gracie she is happily married to Julian, with her parents close by and a bevy of labradors, the whole family embrace rural living. Painting from her ivy clad, rose laden studio at the bottom of the garden, Loulou is able to bring country coastal life, to the page.
Background
Loulou has been painting, drawing and sculpting since childhood. After gaining her Fine Art Degree at Winchester School of Art, she went on to receive her Masters at Bournemouth University. After working on Community Arts projects, Art Residencies and in Television Loulou went into Teaching. After the birth of her second child, she returned to her first love, Painting. Since then there has been no looking back! Loulou is now happily back in her studio where she belongs!
Style
Loulou combines fluid style with detailed hand drawn elements to produce characterful, atmospheric works. She explores tone, movement and composition the dominating subject at the forefront of her work. Original pieces are finished using hand crafted tools made from foraged materials found along the coastline, hedgerows and fields. The natural environment becoming imbued within her work.
